Michael Ellison is responsible for our strategic direction and day-to-day operations. The son of Peter Ellison, he joined Corporate Insight in 1997 to develop e-Monitor, one of the first services to track and evaluate the brokerage industry’s use of the Internet as a vehicle for customer interaction.
Previously, Michael was an analyst and software developer at Dealogic PLC. He began his career as a performance measurement analyst at Informa Investment Solutions.
Michael holds a B.S. in Finance & Marketing from Martin J. Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University.
Peter EllisonChairman and CEO
Peter Ellison founded Corporate Insight in 1992. After a career conducting market research primarily for packaged goods manufacturers, he started the firm to pursue his longtime interests in competitive analysis and financial research.
At the time, financial companies wanted to improve their competitiveness by knowing much more about their customers and competitors, yet were unable to gather and analyze the relevant data themselves. Peter identified this opportunity and did the data gathering and analysis on his own. His leadership blazed the trail and set the direction for Corporate Insight to grow into the unique firm that we are today.
Prior to founding Corporate Insight, Peter served as President of Market Facts – New York (now Synnovate), the premier U.S. market research company of its time. His strong record of achievement also earned him a seat on the parent company’s board of directors.
Peter holds a BSC. in marketing from the University of Virginia.
