PNC Revamps Public Site
Following in the same vein as Merrill Edge’s private site revamp last month that offers clients simplified navigation, PNC redesigned its public site navigation while maintaining its core content. A new row of main navigation tabs replaced the site’s previous left-column navigation links and all public site pages were redesigned to feature expandable sections, centered content and more white space.

optionsXpress unveiled a new messaging tool – IRIS – that sends messages to clients in real-time about trades that were just filled, price alerts and any other notifications that may be relevant to their account. After clicking on any message housed within the icon’s flyout menu, clients are led to the new IRIS Notification Center where they can choose to filter their messages by topic – All, Account, Trade, or Tools – or view only starred messages, deleted messages or those sent over a certain user-defined time period. Within the IRIS Notification Center, clients can also customize the sound that plays – Guitar, Keyboard or Piano – when IRIS sends a new message relating to the Account, Trade or Tools topics.
