Earlier this summer, several life insurance and annuity carriers performed advisor website revamps that boosted the selection of resources available online and also introduced mobile-friendly designs. Three Annuity Monitor and Life Insurance Monitor firms released redesigned advisor sites, two of which – Lincoln Financial Group and Nationwide Financial – are designed to consolidate both annuity and life insurance needs into one user-friendly site. Here, we review the key upgrades implemented by the three firm and discuss the future of mobile-optimized sites.

Genworth recently introduced a new Asset Builder Index UL, the firm’s first indexed universal life (IUL) insurance policy. In accordance with the product release, the firm unveiled The Index Institute, a new index-focused sales support microsite and one-of-a-kind mobile app. The Index Institute microsite provides advisors with a variety of resources including sales ideas, consumer point-of-sale materials, white papers, case studies, videos and market insights on economic and legislative updates from industry leaders.

USAA’s new mobile life insurance app provides its members with the ability to get a personalized quote and to apply electronically. Non-members can receive a customized quote as well but must register before applying. In addition to downloading the app, these capabilities can also be accessed from the mobile optimized website.
