This report analyzes the desktop P2P interfaces offered by the leading firms in the Bank Monitor coverage group as well as PayPal, focusing on usability and design as well as key capabilities and added features. While five coverage group firms do not support desktop site P2P transactions, all but one of the remaining firms do so via Zelle. PNC Bank is the only firm currently maintaining its desktop Popmoney platform. While sending immediate transactions is the norm, only seven coverage group firms allow users to schedule one-time and recurring transactions, a potential area of convenience that would set banks apart from PayPal. Fees and long delivery timeframes are no longer widespread, though firms still impose sending and receiving limits.
