Corporate Insight was in attendance for the 2013 SPARK Forum, an annual retirement conference which was held in West Palm Beach,The word Retirement written on a hand drawn bar chart surrounded by pencils, books and calculator. Florida earlier this month.  The conference offers industry leaders a venue to discuss a variety of hot-button issues and topics including mobile capabilities and the legislation surrounding retirement plans.

CI’s own Michael Ellison, President, and James McGovern, VP – Consulting Services, were among the presenters at the conference. Their presentation, Best-in-Class for the Online DC Plan Participant Experience: A Competitive Analysis, served to provide attendees with an understanding of what it takes to build a valuable, user-friendly website for DC plan participants.

The presentation discussed industry best practices and trends from our recently completed 2013 DC Plan Participant Website Audit and also contained findings from the 2013 DC Plan Participant Survey. The survey polled approximately 1000 plan participants, asking questions about the digital experience they have with their retirement plan provider(s). Mike and James also took a look at what’s next for the industry, focusing on the evolution of financial advice and guidance and mobile innovation.
