CI Review: Amica Modernizes Public and Private Sites

Amica LogoAmica recently unveiled revamped public and private sites featuring a sleek new design and an improved navigation structure. The updated look has a more spacious, easy-to-read layout that accentuates quicklinks to key areas of the sites.

Public Site
One of the most noticeable changes made to the public site is the addition of quicklinks that expedite access to private site account transaction capabilities such as online bill pay, claims and auto ID cards. Amica is one of the few firms in the P&C Insurance Monitor coverage group that offers public site quicklinks that directly lead to the task interfaces after logging in. Additional navigational improvements include an updated main menu and static footer, which were expanded to display all Amica products, claims information, and mobile and social media channels.

While most public site content remains largely unchanged, the firm reorganized the product portion of the public site to improve navigation. Previously, product information was separated into general and state-specific product pages, with related information, such as auto repair assistance and safety tips, housed in other sections of the site. Now, all product information is presented on individual pages that are accessible from a left-side secondary menu. The new structure more closely reflects one that is used by other P&C Insurance Monitor firms.

Private Site
Design improvements to the private site share a similar as those on the public site: design and navigation. The simplified private site layout is filled with new styling features, such as font sizes, colors and bolding.  While the previous private site was not outfitted with a main menu, the new site offers a streamlined main menu displaying four sections – Billing & Payments, Claim Center, Policies & Documents and Your Profile.

Closing Thoughts
Overall, Amica’s redesign improves the online experience for public site visitors and clients. Users are now able to seamlessly view product information on the public site as well as access policy transactions on the private site. The sites enhancements help bolster Amica’s web presence to a standard that is comparable to many of the leading insurers.
