CI Review – New U.S. Bank Connect Site for Small Businesses

altEarlier this month, U.S. Bank launched U.S. Bank Connect, a site that offers education resources for small business owners and serves as a social platform for them to share ideas. U.S. Bank joined the ranks of American Express, Bank of America, Chase and Wells Fargo in offering dedicated websites focusing specifically on small business owners. 

The U.S. Bank Connect site is neatly organized, offering proprietary and third-party articles, workshops, educational guides and videos focusing on how to start, run and grow a business. The site has a strong social foundation as users can share, “Like” and comment on materials. Since there is no login or membership enrollment for U.S. Bank Connect, users wishing to comment must login to their personal DISQUS, Google, Twitter, Facebook, Yahoo or OpenID accounts before submitting their comment.

Users leaving comments are then listed in the Community box which shows the total number of comments left and the most active members. Commenters are identified according to their personal account handles. As of this writing, there are 24 comments on the site from 11 individuals.

U.S. Bank also launched U.S. Bank Connect Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr pages. The social media pages promote the content available on the U.S. Bank Connect site and allow users to interact. The U.S. Bank Connect Facebook page currently has the most followers. The three social media sites are easily accessible from the Connect site.
