Corporate Insight is pleased to introduce USAA to our Credit Card Monitor coverage group. USAA is a military-based financial institution, supplying credit cards to military service members and their families. The firm offers a wide array of insurance, banking, investing, real estate, retirement and health insurance options to its clients. An overview of the firm’s credit card products and private site features is included in the July 6, 2015 Credit Card Monitor Update.
USAA is a non-traditional credit card supplier based out of Texas. The financial institution was originally founded as an auto insurance company, but has since expanded to include other financial products. USAA membership is exclusively offered to active and retired service members, honorably discharged officers and commission program candidates. The firm also extends services to military personnel children, spouses, former spouses and widowed individuals.
USAA recently earned the number one spot in a Temkin Ratings evaluation of the customer experience among credit card issuers. The 2015 ratings gave the firm an 80%, placing it above Discover, American Express, Barclaycard, Chase, Citigroup, Capital One, U.S. Bank, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, PNC and HSBC. This is the fifth year in a row USAA has placed number one among credit card providers.
USAA Website and Credit Card Products
The firm’s website features blue and white as the primary color scheme throughout the public and private sites. While the public site is not responsive, there is a mobile site option accessible through a link located below the footer.
USAA services cards issued by American Express, MasterCard and Visa. The firm offers 18 cards total, three of which are secured cards and two of which are military affiliate cards. The two affiliate cards allow users to show their support to specific divisions of the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy and veteran groups.
