In a survey last year, Corporate Insight found that the average age of a “robo embracer” was 44, older than “conventional wisdom” suggests. “Firms have realized, if you want to grow your business, attract a lot of clients with assets, you might want” a human option, Sean McDermott, a senior analyst at the research and consulting firm, said. “Older, more sophisticated investors are used to having a higher level of service and touch.”
