Unlike every other firm we track, Wells Fargo issues credit cards to existing customers only - qualifying accounts range from personal checking and savings to home mortgages. As a result, the firm's approach to promoting credit cards via their public site is unlike any of its competitors.
There is no distinct website or URL for credit cards, and the interface, organization and navigation is uniform, regardless of the financial product being presented. In essence, this is a reflection of the homogenous banking experience that the firm wishes to provide its customers - no unique branding or attention grabbing graphics are needed for credit cards given the fact that they are not being actively marketed to new customers. Instead, the presentation is designed to be purely functional and appealing to those that already manage their money with Wells Fargo.
