A major bank was interested in improving its mobile login authentication process. The firm wanted to know what happened in competitors’ mobile apps when users logged in from an unrecognized device. Our Mobile Finance Research analysts generated an overview of seven leading competitors’ login processes from unrecognized devices, included step-by-step screenshots from each firm, noting which asked security questions or required two-factor authentication or PINs. Our researchers also noted how these processes differed from login on recognized devices.
