The annuity industry continued its digital transformation in 2025, with providers placing renewed emphasis on simplifying digital experiences for prospects, account owners and advisors. As user expectations for intuitive navigation and easy self-service grow, firms are rethinking how content, tools and resources are organized across their platforms. Corporate Insight’s annual Annuity Monitor Awards includes an Annuity Year In Review section that examines the key digital experience trends from annuity firms over the last year. This year, we highlighted the experience-driven shifts that reflect a broader industry move toward reducing friction, improving findability and supporting more personalized financial engagement.
Navigation Consolidation and Information Architecture Redesign
A major theme in 2025 was the widespread effort to simplify navigation and restructure information architecture. Rather than relying on dense flyout menus and exhaustive link lists, firms moved toward clearer visual hierarchy, tighter content grouping and audience-based pathways that help users reach relevant content faster.
Transamerica led the charge with a comprehensive public site overhaul that introduced a refreshed layout, streamlined flyout menus and an audience toggle allowing users to tailor site content based on their role. Pacific Life followed a similar path by separating annuities and life insurance into distinct navigation categories, creating more direct routes to product and educational content. TIAA also introduced a multilevel navigation redesign that improves content grouping and scannability, helping visitors move through retirement and planning resources more intuitively.

Centralized Self-Service Hubs and Resource Consolidation
Another major annuity trend was the creation of centralized hubs that bring previously scattered tools and resources into single, task-oriented destinations. Rather than forcing users to hunt across multiple pages, firms increasingly grouped servicing actions, educational materials and support features into unified environments designed around real user workflows.
USAA introduced a new Manage Your Annuity page on its account owner site, providing a dedicated self-service center for common annuity transactions alongside related guidance and planning content. Nationwide published a multi-page annuity sales-support section on its public advisor site, guiding financial professionals through every stage of the annuity sales and servicing lifecycle. Jackson launched a new publicly available advisor platform designed exclusively for financial professionals, consolidating business management tools, product resources and sales support into one purpose-built experience.

Financial Wellness and Personalized Planning Tools Take Center Stage
In parallel with structural and navigational improvements, firms also continued expanding financial wellness and personalized planning capabilities within annuity digital experiences. Rather than limiting platforms to account monitoring and transactions, providers increasingly embedded tools that help users align financial decisions with long-term goals.
TIAA enhanced its account owner site experience with a Joy of Spending tool, guiding users through a structured process to connect personal values and interests with financial planning decisions. MassMutual launched a Financial Plan Check-Up tool that collects user goals and existing account information to generate tailored guidance and product recommendations.

USAA added life-event tracking capabilities and introduced a Retirement Review consultation offering, giving members new entry points for personalized financial discussions. Guardian also focused on onboarding by adding a guided Take a Tour experience that helps new account owners quickly understand key site features and capabilities.
